WAKE UP, FRANCE: BITCOIN IS THE MOON, NOT THE FINGER!

For a French Bitcoin Strategic Fund !

🎙️ Following our FRANCE PAYMENTS FORUM event on #Cryptopayments, I still hear the same dismissive labels used against #Bitcoin: It’s “intangible” compared to real estate or old treasury bonds?! Worse than gambling?!

🤔 Let’s agree to disagree, or as Ray Dalio puts it, let’s have a “thoughtful disagreement.”

💡 These arguments remind me so much of the early days of the Internet: “It’s immature,” “Internet will never scale,” “E-commerce will never work”… Even today, Amazon and AliExpress haven’t convinced everyone in France. Many French players, still blinded by pride, haven’t admitted their mistake in failing to adopt this technological revolution early (I personally helped Carrefour and other retailers during their digital transformation, so I can attest…).

🏛️ History repeats itself with #mobile payments. French banks said no to biometrics and mobile payments, claiming they were “anecdotal” and “nobody wants them”… Even with Apple Pay, their pride stops them from admitting strategic errors. With Instant Payments, #EPI, and #WERO initiatives, the question remains: How long until they reclaim the lost ground in payment sovereignty?

🇫🇷 France urgently needs a strategic #Bitcoin reserve alongside its gold stock (yes, that other “barbaric relic”). It needs to create value, not destroy it.

🚀 France must wake up. Shouldn’t wealth, honestly earned and taxed, be free to thrive or hold liberating power? Instead of improving state efficiency and fostering private sector wealth creation, France risks self-destruction through unproductive wealth taxes, while countries like the Czech Republic are moving in the opposite direction with forward-thinking legislation.
